- I caught a glimpse of Geena Davis last night on Monday Night Football plugging her new show. Watching her amazing display of ‘don’t give a shit about being here Al’ attitude it struck me that she’s really frumpy and prudish for an actress, but looks like a formerly hot soccer mom trying hard to get some strange.
- Seniors with unexplained weight loss may be at high risk of developing Alzheimer's, a study out Tuesday suggests. That makes sense. If they can’t remember what day it is how to they keep track of the last time they ate?
- Anna Nicole Smith congratulated Britney Spears on becoming a mom a couple of days ago, then proceeded to bash Britney’s husband for having too many babies with too many baby’s mommas before he was 30. Smith also told Spears to hang onto her cash if the marriage falls apart. Good advice from a former gold digger. I wonder if she knows one when she sees one.
- “she used her body like a bandage and she used my body just like a wound.” Meatloaf must have dated some really strange women when he was younger.
- After harping on the Redskins all summer Michael Wilbon seems to have started drinking the Joe Gibbs flavored Kool-Aid now. At least he admits that the reason the ‘Skins had such a good Sunday is because they had a bye week.
- No matter how much I like my job, having to work for a living still sucks. This job would be much more fun if I could do it for the satisfaction alone, and not have to think about the money.
- I need a peaceful morning on the golf course.
Administrative Notes
- Last night my OFFICE GIRLFRIEND from my civilian job e-mailed to say that she is no longer reading the blog due to the extreme amount of space devoted to football. It’s hard not to type about the Redskins when you live in the District (or close to it) because it is such an obsession here. Still, it’s not the first such comment so I may have to dial it back some.
- The crusty ass NCOs that raised me from a pup complained over the weekend that the black background is hard on his eyes. It was something I had not considered when I was looking for a new theme for the blog.
- THE WOMAN is not bothered by the background color, instead choosing to complain about the color of the fonts. Which I suppose is the same issue, only stated from a different vantage point.
- I’ve got a fix for that in mind but am not really sure if I want to implement it. Right now I’ve got zero dollars invested in this version of the blog and I’d like to keep it that way. Making any kind of major change is going to involve an expenditure of both time and dollars over the near and long term that I’m not sure I want to make.

I don't really have an opinion.
